Contribution Rates for Social Support
Cultural activities are part of Social Support services, which fall under the Independence category. Contribution rates vary based on your income and assets:
- Full pensioners: 5% contribution
- Part pensioners/Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders: 5-50% contribution (based on means test)
- Self-funded retirees: 50% contribution
Important: The government calculates your exact contribution rate based on your individual circumstances through the means test assessment.
